Case study research examines one or more bounded examples (organization, system, patient cohort, software deployment) using interviews, documents, and observations. Papers must state case selection rationale, data collection methods, analysis framework (e.g., thematic coding), and limits to generalization. IJERS accepts case studies when they produce transferable insights beyond anecdote.
